Product details
140166174015 is a genuine Electrolux group anti tilt bracket. It anchors behind a freestanding cooker so the cooker is held back when weight goes on the open oven door. If your cooker was installed without one, or the bracket went missing when the cooker was moved, replacing it is a simple safety job worth doing straight away, especially with young children in the house.
Why a freestanding cooker needs an anti tilt bracket
A freestanding cooker stands on its own feet with nothing holding the back down. When the oven door is open, a child climbing on it or a heavy roasting dish resting on it can lever the whole cooker forward, along with any hot pots on top. The anti tilt bracket stops that. It is fixed to the wall or floor and catches the back of the cooker so the rear can't lift. Freestanding cookers come with anti tilt protection for exactly this reason, so a missing or bent bracket should be replaced before the cooker goes back into use.
Part details
- Genuine Electrolux group part number 140166174015
- Anti tilt bracket for freestanding cookers
- Holds the rear of the cooker down when the oven door is loaded
- Safety part, replace it if it's lost or bent
Fitting the anti tilt bracket
Switch the cooker off at the wall before pulling it out. A gas cooker must have its gas supply isolated, and any disconnection or reconnection of gas or hard-wired power should be done by a licensed gas fitter or licensed electrician. Position the bracket as the installation instructions show, fix it with screws or anchors that suit your wall or floor, then slide the cooker back and test that the rear can't lift.
Questions about this part
Do I really need an anti tilt bracket?
Yes. Without it, weight on the open oven door can tip a freestanding cooker forward. A bracket that is missing, bent or not engaged with the cooker should be replaced and refitted before the cooker is used again.
