An oven door handle is usually held by a spacer at each end, with screws running through the door into the spacer and handle. Every time the door is pulled open, those spacers take the load. Fitting the handle spacer

Let the oven cool and switch it off at the wall or isolator. On many ovens the handle screws are reached from inside the door, which may mean partly separating the door panels, so lay the door flat on a towel first. Keep track of every screw and washer.
