A handle support is the bracket or mount that holds a handle in place and takes the load when you pull or lift. The catalogue doesn't say which appliance it's from, so check the colour, shape and part number of your old support. If you're unsure, our team can help through the parts enquiry form.

Broken or loose handle support

The handle support carries the force every time the handle is used, so it's often the first part to crack. Plastic supports can split at the screw bosses, snap at a clip or wear so the handle wobbles. Signs include a handle that moves or creaks, a gap where the handle meets the body, or a handle that has come away completely. Replacing the support usually fixes the wobble without buying a new handle, provided the handle itself is undamaged.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux group part 140138369057

Handle support assembly

Blue, code 720

Appliance not stated, match colour and number

Colour

Blue

Fitting the handle support

Switch off and unplug the appliance before starting. Remove the handle and look at how the old support is fixed, whether by screws, clips or both. Clear out any broken plastic, fit the new support in the same orientation and refit the handle. Don't overtighten screws into plastic, as stripped threads will bring the wobble straight back.

Questions about this part

Does this come with the handle?

No. Electrolux describes 140138369057 as the handle support assembly only, the part that holds the handle. If the handle itself is broken, it will be a separate part.
