Changing the dryer motor
Unplug the dryer before you open it. Take photos of the wiring, belt path and any fan fixed to the motor shaft, as some fans unscrew in the reverse direction. Transfer the fan to the new motor, refit the belt around the idler, and spin the drum by hand to check it turns freely. Run a short cycle and listen for rubbing or noise.
