Signs your oven convection fan wheel needs replacing
In fan forced cooking, the fan wheel circulates heat from the element so food cooks evenly on every shelf. A damaged wheel makes itself known quickly. A scraping, rattling or grinding noise when the fan runs, a wheel that wobbles or rubs on the fan cover, and uneven cooking are all common. Wheels can be bent by a rack hitting the back panel, or work loose on the motor shaft over time. Fitting the new fan wheel
Isolate the oven at the circuit breaker and let it cool completely. Remove the racks and the rear fan cover. The wheel is usually held on the motor shaft by a nut, which can have a left-hand thread, so check the direction before applying force. Fit the new wheel, tighten it firmly and spin it by hand to make sure it doesn't touch the cover.
