Product details
This genuine Electrolux part, 140067859011, is a wiring lead carrying the freezer NTC temperature sensor, used in Electrolux group fridge freezers. The NTC sensor tells the control board how cold the freezer is. There are several versions of this lead with different lengths and plugs, so compare your old harness or check your model's parts list for 140067859011 before ordering.
Freezer too warm or too cold? A faulty NTC sensor could be why
An NTC sensor is a thermistor whose resistance falls as it warms. The control board reads that resistance to decide when to run the compressor and freezer fan. If the sensor or its wiring fails, the board gets a false reading or none at all. Symptoms include a freezer that won't get cold enough, food freezing too hard, the compressor running nonstop, a flashing temperature display or an error code. Damaged insulation or a corroded plug on the lead can cause the same problems.

Fitting the sensor wiring
Unplug the fridge freezer before removing any panels. Follow the old lead from the sensor to its plug and photograph the route and fixing points. Fit the new lead along the same path, clip the sensor in its original position and keep joins dry. Restart the appliance and give it several hours to settle before judging the temperature.
Questions about this part
How do I know the sensor is faulty and not the board?
A technician can measure the sensor's resistance and compare it with the chart for your model at a known temperature. If the reading is wildly off or open circuit, the sensor or lead has failed. If it reads correctly, the fault is likely elsewhere.
