Fitting a ceramic cooktop element

This is hard-wired work, so it should be done by a licensed electrician with the cooktop isolated at the switchboard. The glass top usually has to be lifted to reach the element. Photograph the terminals and the temperature limiter wiring before disconnecting anything, and make sure the new element sits flat and centred under the zone markings. Test both rings once the cooktop is back together.
