It's the control panel on the outside of the door that you use to select water, ice and other dispenser settings, and it shows what the dispenser is doing. Electrolux makes several versions of this display for different Westinghouse and Electrolux models, so confirm the number on your old display or parts list.

Westinghouse fridge dispenser display not working

When this display fails, the dispenser often stops responding altogether. Common signs are a blank or flickering screen, buttons that don't react or only work when pressed hard, a dispenser that won't release water or ice, or settings that keep resetting. Moisture working in behind the panel from the dispenser area is a frequent cause, as is a damaged ribbon or connector. Before replacing it, check the wiring connection through the door and make sure any control lock function isn't switched on.

Part details

Genuine part 140050905268

Ice and water dispenser display assembly

External user interface

Westinghouse version

Replacing the display

Switch the fridge off at the wall before starting, as the display connects to live control wiring. Release the dispenser trim carefully, since its clips break easily, and photograph the connector positions. Transfer the plugs to the new display, refit the trim and power up to check every button and the dispenser function.

Questions about this part

Are the Westinghouse and Electrolux displays the same?

No. Separate displays are made for the Electrolux badge and for Westinghouse, and some trims differ again.
