It's the dairy compartment that usually sits high on the inside of the fridge door. Electrolux's description doesn't name the fridge models it fits, so compare the shape and fixing points with your old shelf, or check the part number on your fridge's parts list.

Replacing a cracked fridge butter shelf

A butter shelf gives butter, spreads and soft cheese their own spot, typically up on the door where it's a little less cold than the main cabinet. Plastic door shelves take a lot of knocks as the door swings and gets loaded. Cracks often start at the clips or corners, and once a side breaks the shelf can tip or drop off its mounts. Stained or clouded plastic that won't come clean is another reason people swap it. A complete shelf saves hunting for separate pieces.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux group part 140045259011

Butter shelf, supplied complete

Transparent finish

For Electrolux group fridges, model list not on file

Swapping the butter shelf

No tools are usually needed. Empty the shelf, then lift it straight up and out of its mounts on the door liner. Check the mounts aren't cracked, as a new shelf won't sit properly on a broken liner. Push the new shelf down evenly until it seats on both sides. Wash it in warm soapy water before first use.

Questions about this part

What does complete mean here?

Electrolux describes this shelf as complete, meaning it's supplied as the full shelf assembly rather than a single piece of it.
