140042386023 Genuine Standard Cast Trivet for Electrolux Group Forte 90cm Gas Cooktops, Pan Support A04238602

140042386023, also known as A04238602, is a genuine Electrolux cast trivet for the standard burner position on 90cm gas cooktops in the Forte range. The trivet is the heavy grate your pots sit on above the flame. Forte 90cm cooktops use separate trivets for the standard, wok and centre positions, so make sure this standard one is the trivet you need.

Cracked or wobbly cooktop trivet?

Cast trivets carry the weight of heavy pots while sitting right over an open flame. Dropping one into the sink, a sudden temperature change or a heavy pot banged down can crack the casting or break off a finger. Enamel can also chip and rust over time, and where a trivet has rubber feet, worn or missing ones let it rock and scratch the cooktop. A cracked or unstable trivet is a safety risk, as a pot can tip or slide off while it's full of hot food.

Fitting the trivet

Make sure all burners are off and the cooktop has cooled. Lift the old trivet off and clean the area underneath. Sit the new trivet in the standard position so its feet locate properly, then check it sits flat without rocking. Light the burner with a pot in place to confirm the flame isn't blocked.

Questions about this part

How do I tell the standard, wok and centre trivets apart?

Each one is shaped for its spot on the cooktop. The standard trivet covers the regular burners, the wok trivet goes over the wok burner and the centre trivet sits in the middle. Order by the number for the position you need.
