Product details

Part 140026072011 is a genuine one way water inlet valve for Westinghouse and Electrolux fridges that connect to a mains water supply. On the Westinghouse side it's listed for the WHE6060SA and WHE6060SA-D. For Electrolux it suits the EHE5267SA-D as well as the ERE5047SA-R and ERE5047SB-R. You may also see it numbered A02607201.

Signs the water valve on your fridge has failed

A single way valve has one inlet and one outlet, so it controls a single water path. It sits where the household water line meets the fridge, and opens when the control board energises its coil. If the coil burns out, no water gets through and the water features sit idle. If the valve sticks or its seat wears, water can keep trickling through, which shows up as an overfilled ice tray, ice forming in odd places or a puddle under the fridge. Grit from the water line can also jam a valve open or shut.

  • Genuine Electrolux group part 140026072011
  • Alternative number A02607201
  • Single inlet, single outlet valve
  • Listed for Westinghouse WHE6060SA and Electrolux EHE5267SA-D, ERE5047SA-R and ERE5047SB-R
Configuration 1 way

Fitting the water valve

Turn off the water at the isolating tap and unplug the fridge. Keep a towel handy, as the line will hold some water. Remove the rear cover, note the wire and tube positions, then swap the valve over. Push the tubes fully home into their fittings, restore the water and keep an eye out for leaks over the next hour or so before sliding the fridge back.

Questions about this part

What does single or 1 way mean?

It means the valve has one outlet feeding one water path. Fridges that run separate lines to a dispenser and an ice maker often use a two way valve instead, so check your old valve has just one outlet before ordering.
