A fan shroud surrounds a cooling fan and directs its airflow where it's needed inside the cabinet. As an assembly it's supplied built up rather than as a loose cover, though our records don't itemise what's attached. There's no model list on file, so check your parts list for 140024543021 before ordering.

What a fridge fan shroud does

Frost free fridges and freezers rely on a fan to move cold air from the evaporator into the storage compartments, and some also use a fan to cool the condenser. The shroud holds the fan in position and channels the air through the right openings. If it cracks, warps or comes loose, the fan blade can rub, rattle or tick, airflow drops, and parts of the fridge may stop cooling properly. Ice building up around a damaged shroud can also stall the fan altogether.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part number 140024543021

Fan shroud assembly

For Electrolux group fridges and freezers

Model list not on file, match the part number

Changing the fan shroud

Turn the fridge off at the wall and unplug it before removing any panels.
