Fridge not dispensing water or filling the ice maker?
A plumbed fridge keeps its water supply shut off until the control board calls for it. The double valve has two solenoids, so the fridge can send water to one outlet at a time, typically the dispenser and the ice maker. When a coil burns out or the small inlet screen blocks with sediment, one or both outlets stop delivering. Common signs are no water from the door dispenser, an ice bucket that never refills, a slow trickle, a valve that hums or buzzes, or water dripping at the back of the fridge from a cracked valve body.

Changing the water valve
Turn off the water supply tap and switch the fridge off at the wall before pulling it out. Take a photo of the wiring plugs and note which tube goes to which outlet before removing anything. Push the tubes fully into their fittings, reconnect the plugs, then turn the water back on slowly and check every joint for drips. Run the dispenser for a minute to clear air from the line.
