Simpson top loader overfilling or not filling? Test the pressure sensor
A thin air tube runs from the bottom of the tub to this sensor. As water rises, air pressure in the tube rises, and the sensor turns that into a signal the control board uses to stop filling at the right level. When it fails, the machine may overflow, stop filling too early, keep filling and draining, or refuse to start agitating. You may also see a water level error. Before replacing it, check the air tube for splits, kinks or a blockage at the tub end, as these cause the same faults.

Swapping the pressure sensor
Unplug the washer before opening the control panel or console, where the sensor is normally mounted. Photograph the plug and note how the air tube connects, then fit the new sensor and push the tube fully onto its spigot. Blow gently through the old tube to make sure it is clear before reconnecting it. Run a fill to check the water stops at the correct level.
