Silkscreened means the lid carries printed markings, so the new one will look like the original. Lids like this cover a storage tray or compartment inside the cabinet, and the fit is specific to the fridge range, so compare the number and shape with your old lid first.

Replacing a cracked fridge tray lid

Plastic lids inside a fridge get more brittle with age and cold, and a knock from a heavy container is enough to crack a corner or snap a hinge tab. Once a lid is broken, the tray underneath isn't properly covered, food may dry out faster, and the lid can rattle or fall when the tray is used. Cleaning with harsh chemicals or very hot water can also cause fine cracking. A genuine replacement restores the original fit and printed finish.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 140008215034

Tray lid for Electrolux group fridges

Silkscreened (printed) finish

SP8008 platform part

Finish

Silkscreened (printed)

Fitting the lid

Empty the tray and take it out of the fridge if that gives better access.
