If your Electrolux or AEG dryer won't start even though the door is shut, the door switch is a likely culprit. 1366111118 is the genuine switch, also numbered 1366111100. On the Electrolux side, the EDH3284PDW is on file along with the EDH903R9WB, the EDH803R9WB and the EDH803R7WB. For AEG there are the T8DHC846B and T8DHC846C, the T9DHA866C, the T9DBA866C and the T6DHE842B.
Dryer won't start or stops when bumped?
The door switch tells the dryer the door is closed, and the control board won't turn the drum or heat until it gets that signal. When the switch contacts wear or the plastic plunger breaks, the dryer may do nothing when you press start, show a door open warning, start and then stop, or only run if you lean on the door. On some machines the drum light also stays on or never comes on. A broken door catch can cause the same faults, so check that the door latches firmly first.
