Product details
Part 12600760 is a genuine Blanco oven door hinge, the new style version. Hinges carry the full weight of the oven door and pull it closed against the seal, so a worn or broken one soon makes itself known. Blanco has used more than one hinge design over the years, so compare your old hinge with the photo, or check 12600760 against your parts list, before ordering.
Blanco oven door dropping or not closing?
Each hinge has a spring and arm that balance the door as it opens and draw it firmly shut. As the spring weakens or the arm wears, the door may drop open suddenly, sit crooked, refuse to close all the way or leave a gap at the top. That gap lets heat escape, so the oven struggles to hold temperature and the knobs or panel above can get hot. A hinge that's cracked, bent or has a broken spring should be replaced before it fails completely and the door falls.

Changing an oven door hinge
Turn the oven off at the wall and let it cool. Open the door fully and lock the hinges if they have locking levers, then lift the door off and lay it on a towel. Hinge springs are under tension, so keep fingers clear and don't release a hinge in the closed position. Fit the new hinge, rehang the door and check it opens smoothly and closes evenly.
Questions about this part
Should I replace both hinges?
Oven doors normally run on a pair of hinges, one each side. If one has worn out, the other has done the same work, so many repairers fit two at once to keep the door level. Work out how many you need before ordering 12600760.
