It is also listed as 12570360, so check your old element for either number. The models on file are the OO757X and OO912XN, the OO971XN and OO986X, the BOSE709M and the LUO99ESS. If the grill has stopped working but the rest of the oven heats, this is the first part to test.

Omega oven grill not working

The grill element gives strong direct heat from the top of the cavity for grilling and browning. When it fails, the grill stays cold or heats only partly, while fan and bottom heat may still work normally. Some failed elements show a visible break, a bubble in the sheath or a burnt patch, while others look fine but test open circuit. A grill that trips the safety switch as soon as it is selected usually has a short to earth. Check the selector switch and wiring too if a new element doesn't cure the fault.

Part details

Genuine grill element 12570090

Alternative number 12570360

Mounts in the roof of the oven cavity

Listed for Omega OO757X, OO912XN, OO971XN and OO986X, Blanco BOSE709M and the LUO99ESS

Swapping the grill element

Turn the oven off at the switchboard and let it cool fully. Hard-wired ovens should be worked on by a licensed electrician. The grill element is usually held to the roof or back wall with screws and brackets, with its terminals behind the rear panel. Photograph the wiring before you disconnect anything, fit the new element so it sits level, then test the grill on a high setting.

Questions about this part

Do 12570090 and 12570360 fit the same ovens?

Yes, the two numbers are linked to this same grill element.
