Product details
Got an Omega or Blanco oven that has stopped heating on fan bake? Part 12570030 is a generic 2300W fan forced element that suits a long list of Omega OO models, including the OO651XN, OO652XB, OO671XA and OO884XA, plus Blanco ovens like the BOSE65XM and BSO629. It's also listed under 12570031, and some St George ovens use the same element.
Why an Omega oven stops heating in fan mode
Fan forced cooking relies on two parts working together, the rear fan motor and the ring element around it. The fan only moves the air, so without a working element that air stays cold. A burnt out element usually shows up as a fan bake setting that never reaches temperature, long preheat times, patchy baking or a safety switch that trips when fan mode is selected. Look behind the fan cover for blistering or a break in the element. A multimeter continuity test confirms it.

Fitting the 2300W element
Turn off power to the oven at the switchboard and let it cool. Remove the shelves and fan cover, then undo the element screws. Most ovens need to come out of the cabinet to reach the wiring, so take a photo of the connections first. Hard-wired ovens must be reconnected by a licensed electrician.
Questions about this part
Is 12570030 an Omega branded part?
