Product details
If heat is escaping around your Blanco oven door, the seal is the first thing to check. This genuine door seal, part 12382220, suits Blanco and Omega ovens and also appears as 12382140 and 12380700. There are 15 models on file. The BOSE651X, BOSE6511X and BOSE652X are on the list, along with the BOSE665X, the BOSE667X and the Omega OO657X.
How a worn oven door seal affects cooking
The seal closes the gap between the oven door and the front of the cavity so heat stays where the food is. Once it hardens, flattens or tears, hot air leaks out around the door edges. The oven takes longer to reach temperature, uses more power and cooks unevenly, with food near the door lagging behind. The front panel, knobs and cabinet face may get uncomfortably hot, and you may see grease marks or discolouration where vapour has been escaping.

Changing the door seal
Turn the oven off and let it cool fully. Open the door and look at how the old seal is held, commonly with hooks or clips pushed into holes in the oven front. Pull it out gently. Fit the corners of the new seal first, then press in the straight runs between them so there are no stretched or bunched sections. Close the door and check the seal sits evenly all round.
Questions about this part
Where do I find the model number on a Blanco oven?
Open the oven door and look on the edge of the oven frame or the inside of the door for the rating label. The model, such as BOSE651X, is printed there. Match it to the list or send it through our parts enquiry form.
