Blanco oven door seal worn or torn
The door seal squeezes against the oven front when the door shuts, holding the heat in the cavity so the thermostat can do its job. Constant heating and cooling makes it go hard and flat, and the corners often split or pull out of their mounting holes. Once that happens you'll notice heat on the knobs and fascia, steam escaping above the door, more grease staining around the oven front and longer preheat times. A worn seal also wastes power, since the elements run longer to make up for the lost heat.

Fitting the replacement seal
Let the oven cool fully and open the door wide. Pull the old seal out gently, noting where the corners sit and where the ends meet. Clean the mounting area, then fit the new seal starting at the top centre and working out to each side. Make sure the corners are fully seated, then close the door and check for an even fit.
