Product details
This genuine Bosch fluff filter, part 12032308, is the screw-in cap for the drain pump at the bottom front of Bosch washers. It's on file for the WAN24124AU and WAN24126AU, the WAN28227AU, several WAW models such as the WAW28440AU and WAW28620AU, and the WAY32891AU and WGG24409AU. Replace it if the old cap is cracked, has lost its seal or won't screw all the way in.
Bosch washer not draining or leaking from the filter
The fluff filter catches lint, coins, hair ties and other bits before they reach the drain pump. A clogged filter is one of the most common reasons a Bosch washer stops draining, leaves water in the drum or halts with a drain fault. Cleaning usually fixes that, but a cap that has cracked, has a damaged seal or no longer screws in fully will leak water across the floor. A new cap restores a watertight seal at the pump housing.
Part details
- Genuine Bosch part 12032308
- Screw-in drain pump fluff filter cap
- Suits WAN, WAW, WAY and WGG models listed
- Replaces a cracked, leaking or lost cap
Cleaning and replacing the filter cap
Unplug the machine and open the service flap at the bottom front. Lay towels down and keep a shallow tray handy, because water left in the drum will run out once the cap is loosened. Unscrew the old cap slowly, clear out the housing, then screw the new cap in firmly until it stops. Run a rinse and check for drips.
Questions about this part
How often should the pump filter be cleaned?
Every few months is a good routine, and straight away if the washer is slow to drain or shows a drain fault. Pet hair, sand and things left in pockets all fill it faster.
