Dishes coming out dirty? Check the spray arm feed duct
Inside the dishwasher, the wash pump pushes water from the sump through a set of channels to the spray arms. This duct is one of those channels, and it has to stay sealed and properly seated for the arm it feeds to get full pressure. If the duct cracks, warps or comes loose from its connection, water escapes before it reaches the arm. The arm then spins slowly or not at all, and dishes in that part of the basket come out dirty or gritty. Food scraps lodged in the duct cause the same symptoms.

Fitting the feed duct
Turn the dishwasher off at the wall and remove the baskets so you can see the inside of the tub. Note how the old duct connects at each end and how it clips to the tub, taking a photo if it helps. Unclip it, clear any debris from the connection points, then push the new duct firmly home. Spin the spray arm by hand to check it turns freely before running a wash.
