Our records pair it with the lower satellite spray arm 1118952108, so if you're replacing that arm it's worth fitting a fresh support at the same time. The support keeps the arm centred and lets it spin freely. Check that 1118940020 matches the number on your parts list before ordering.

Lower spray arm loose or not spinning?

The lower spray arm does most of the work in a dishwasher, firing water up through the bottom rack. It sits on a support that holds it level and gives it a pivot to turn on. When the support cracks, wears or loses its clips, the arm can wobble, drop, catch on the rack or stop rotating altogether. The usual result is dirty dishes on the bottom rack, a rattling or knocking noise during the wash, or an arm that lifts off far too easily. A worn support can also damage a new spray arm, so check it whenever the arm is replaced.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 1118940020

Supports the lower spray arm in the dishwasher

Listed for use with lower satellite spray arm 1118952108

Dishwasher models not on file

Fitting the spray arm support

Turn the dishwasher off at the wall and pull out the bottom basket. Lift off the lower spray arm, then note how the old support is clipped or screwed in before removing it. Clean any grit from around the sump and filters while you're there. Fit the new support, refit the arm and spin it by hand to make sure it turns without catching on anything.

Questions about this part

Do I need this support with a new satellite spray arm?

Our records list 1118940020 as the support to use with lower satellite spray arm 1118952108.
