Bosch washing machine banging on spin
Shock absorbers, also called dampers, sit under the tub and slow its movement as the drum speeds up and winds down. Once they wear out there's nothing to calm the tub, so the machine thumps against the cabinet, walks across the floor or shakes hard on spin. You may also hear knocking at the start and end of the spin cycle. A damper that slides in and out by hand with almost no resistance is finished. Check the tub springs and counterweight bolts at the same time, since loose ones make similar noises.
