Bosch washer leaking at the back or draining slowly? Check the drain hose
Every drop of water that leaves the machine goes through the drain hose, so it copes with hot water, detergent, lint and the odd coin or hair clip. Hoses that have split, perished or been crushed behind the machine are a common cause of water on the laundry floor, especially during the spin. A kinked or partly blocked hose can also slow draining, leave water in the drum at the end of the cycle or bring up a drain error. Check the full length of the hose for cracks, flat spots and blockages before blaming the pump.

Fitting the new drain hose
Unplug the washer and turn off both taps. Have towels and a shallow tray ready, as water will be sitting in the old hose and pump. On many models the pump end is reached by removing a rear or lower panel. Note how the hose is routed and clipped, release the clamp at the pump and pull the old hose free. Fit the new one with the clamp seated properly, clip it into the same route and run a rinse and spin to check for leaks.
