Every rinse and spin sends water from the drain pump through this hose and out of the machine. Fitting the new drain hose

Unplug the washer and turn off the taps. Drain the remaining water through the pump filter flap into a shallow tray before disconnecting anything. Note how the old hose is clipped at the pump end and along the back panel.
