Rangehood filter clogged, bent or dripping grease?

An aluminium grease filter traps fat and oil from cooking vapour so it doesn't coat the fan and the inside of the ducting. The filter media catches grease droplets as air is drawn through, and it can be washed to restore airflow. Changing the rangehood filter

Switch the rangehood off and let the cooktop cool. Release the catch on the old filter and lower it out carefully, as it may be greasy. Measure it to confirm 335mm by 267mm. Fit the new filter the same way round, making sure the catch locks so it can't drop onto the cooktop. Wash the filter regularly to keep the hood drawing well.
