St George oven not heating on fan forced?
On fan forced settings, the fan draws air across this element and circulates the heat through the oven cavity. When the element burns out, the fan still turns but the oven stays cold or heats very slowly on fan modes, while conventional bake or grill may still work. Other giveaways include a visible break or blister on the element, scorch marks near the terminals, or the safety switch tripping when you select a fan setting. A multimeter continuity check across the terminals confirms a failed element.

Changing the fan element
Isolate the oven at the switchboard and let it cool fully. Hard-wired ovens need a licensed electrician. You'll normally reach the element by removing the rear fan cover inside the oven. Photograph the active, neutral and earth connections before undoing them so the new element is wired the same way. Run the oven on a fan setting afterwards and check it heats evenly.
