It's the module that creates the high voltage pulses sent to the spark electrodes, and it has five outputs. Count the outlets on your old unit and check its number before ordering.

Gas cooktop not sparking? The ignition generator explained

When you push and turn a burner knob, a switch behind it signals the ignition generator to start firing. The generator turns mains power into a rapid series of high voltage pulses and sends them along leads to each spark electrode. If it fails, none of the burners spark, sparking is weak or slow, one outlet stops working, or the clicking carries on after the knob is released. Before replacing the module, check for wet or cracked electrodes, a damaged lead or a stuck ignition switch, as these cause similar faults.

Part details

Genuine Blanco part 10067

Also listed as 0010067

Ignition generator with 5 outlets

Powers the spark electrodes on a gas cooktop

Outlets

5

Fitting the ignition generator

This module is wired to mains power and sits in a gas appliance, so it should be fitted by a licensed electrician or licensed gas fitter.
