Bosch dishwasher lower basket dragging or falling off the rails?
The bottom basket rides on a set of small wheels that run along rails in the base of the tub. Hot water, detergent and the weight of a full load slowly wear them, and they crack, flatten or snap off their axles. Once a wheel is missing, the basket tips, drags on the door, jumps off the runners or jams halfway when you pull it out. It can also sit unevenly and knock against the lower spray arm, which stops the arm turning and leaves dishes dirty.

Swapping a basket wheel
Pull the lower basket out of the dishwasher and turn it upside down on a towel. The old wheel, or what is left of it, usually levers off its axle with a flat screwdriver, and the new one presses on until it seats. Check every wheel while the basket is out, as others are often worn too. Slide the basket back in and make sure it rolls freely.
