Product details
Glem Gas part 093P00 is a genuine 60°C cut out for the cooling circuit of a Glem Gas oven. Temperature switches like this react at a fixed point, here 60°C, and open or close a circuit when it's reached. That rating is typical of the switch that runs or monitors an oven's cooling fan. No compatible models are on file, so match the number and the temperature marked on the old switch before you order.
What happens when the cooling cut out fails
Ovens use a cooling fan to move air through the gap between the oven cavity and the outer case, keeping the controls, wiring and surrounding cabinetry from overheating. A temperature switch tells the system when cooling is needed. If it fails, the fan may never start, or it may run constantly and never stop even hours after the oven is cold. In some ovens a faulty cooling switch can also stop the oven heating, or leave the control panel and door hotter than they should be.

Replacing the cut out
Cut the power at the switchboard and give the oven time to cool right down. Ovens are hard-wired, so this should be fitted by a licensed electrician, and on a gas oven the gas supply should be isolated as well. Note which terminals each wire comes off, keep the switch's sensing face hard against its mounting, and check how the fan behaves once the oven has heated up.
Questions about this part
My oven fan runs all the time. Is this the part?
It could be. A cooling switch stuck closed can keep the fan running, but a faulty relay or control board can do the same. A technician can test the switch with a multimeter cold and again once the oven is hot.
