Fan forced oven not heating?
In fan forced mode, the fan draws air across this element and blows it around the cavity, so the oven heats evenly on every shelf. When the element fails, the fan still runs but the oven stays cool or heats very slowly, food cooks unevenly, and other modes such as bake or grill may still work normally. Some elements fail with a visible blister or bright hot spot, while others break internally with no sign at all. A burnt out element can also trip the safety switch when the oven is turned on. Checking continuity across the terminals confirms it.

Changing the fan element
Isolate the oven at the switchboard and let it cool. Ovens that are hard-wired need a licensed electrician. Remove the shelves and the fan cover at the back of the cavity, then undo the element's screws. Photograph the terminals before disconnecting them at the rear. Fit the new element, reconnect the wires firmly and refit the cover before testing the oven on fan forced.
