Belling fan oven not getting hot?
The fan forced element is the round coil mounted behind the rear panel, wrapped around the convection fan. The fan pulls air over the hot element and pushes it evenly through the cavity. When the element burns out, the oven may still light up and the fan may still spin, but the temperature barely climbs on fan modes while the top and bottom elements keep working. Some elements fail with a bang that trips the safety switch, while others show a blister or break in the sheathing. A continuity test across the terminals with a multimeter confirms an open circuit.

Changing the fan element
Turn the oven off at the switchboard, and leave the wiring to a licensed electrician if the oven is hard-wired. With the oven cold, take out the shelves and the rear fan cover, then undo the element screws. Draw the terminals forward or work from the back panel, label the wires and move them across. Refit the cover and run a fan setting to check it heats.
