Fitting the knob
Make sure the oven is off and the controls are cool. Pull the old knob straight off its shaft without twisting, and look at the shaft itself, as a broken shaft points to a control fault rather than a knob fault. Turn the new knob until its socket lines up with the flat on the shaft, then press it on firmly. Turn it through each setting to confirm it reads correctly.
