Bosch dryer drum not turning? Check the belt
The drive belt wraps around the outside of the drum and over a small pulley on the motor shaft, with a sprung tension pulley keeping it tight. When the motor starts, the belt turns the drum so the clothes tumble through the warm air. Belts stretch, glaze and crack with age, and a heavy or lopsided load can make a worn one snap. Typical signs are a motor that hums or runs while the drum stays still, a drum that spins freely by hand with the door open, squealing or slapping noises, or clothes coming out damp and creased because they barely tumbled.

Fitting a new drum belt
Unplug the dryer first. Reaching the belt usually means removing the top and front panels, so photograph the wiring and screw positions as you go. Loop the belt around the drum with the ribbed side facing in, then thread it around the tension pulley and onto the motor pulley the way the old one ran. Turn the drum by hand a few times to settle the belt before refitting the panels.
