00531231 OEM Oven Door Hinge suits Blanco, Omega Ovens BOSE65X BOSE605X BOSE69X BSO635W BFS95WFF OO761XN, Replaces 031199009930R

Part 00531231 is an OEM oven door hinge made to match Blanco hinge 031199009930R, the number that took over from the older 12600420. It's an aftermarket hinge built to the original specification, not a Blanco factory part. It suits the Blanco and Omega ovens listed for that hinge, such as the BOSE65X, BOSE605X, BOSE69X, BSO635W and BFS95WFF, as well as Omega's OO761XN and OO971XN.

Signs your oven door hinges are worn out

A door that drops open hard, won't stay shut or leans to one side nearly always comes down to the hinges. Inside each one is a spring and a set of pivots that balance the weight of the door. Once a spring weakens or a pivot wears, that balance is gone. You'll notice a gap along the top of the door, feel heat spilling onto the control panel, and find meals taking longer to cook. Leaving it also puts extra load on the remaining good hinge.

Fitting the replacement hinge

Turn the oven off at the wall and wait until it's cold. Open the door fully and, if your hinges have locking levers, flip them over so the door can be lifted off at an angle. Unscrew the old hinge from the oven frame and fit the new one in its place. Rehang the door with a helper, because it's heavy and the springs are strong, then check it seals evenly when closed.
