ILVE oven not heating on fan forced?
On fan forced settings this element supplies the heat while the fan spreads it evenly through the oven. When the element burns out, the fan keeps turning and the light still works, but the oven stays cold or takes ages to warm up. You may also see the circuit breaker or safety switch trip when fan forced is selected, which often points to an element that has shorted to earth. Blistering, a split sheath or a burnt spot on the coil are other clear signs.

Fitting the fan element
Switch the oven off at the isolator or circuit breaker and let it cool. On most ovens the element is reached by removing the fan cover inside the cavity, then unscrewing the element and drawing it forward to reach the terminals. Photograph the wiring before you disconnect it. Hard-wired ovens must be connected by a licensed electrician, and test fan forced mode once it's back together.
