Bosch washer door won't lock? How the door interlock fails
The door lock is a safety switch. When a cycle starts, it latches the door and signals the control board that it is safe to fill and spin. If it fails, the washer may refuse to start, flash a door error, beep and stop shortly after starting, or keep the door locked after the cycle ends. A broken catch on the door itself can cause similar symptoms, so check the hook on the door before ordering. A lock that clicks but never engages, or heat damage on its connector, points to the interlock.

Changing the door lock
Unplug the washer and turn off the taps. If the door is stuck shut, many Bosch machines have an emergency release near the pump filter flap, so drain any water first. Fold back the door seal to reach the screws holding the lock, ease it out and unplug the connector. Fit the new lock, reconnect it and run a rinse cycle to test.
