This is an OEM pump made to the original specification of Bosch part 00146156, the drain and circulation pump used in the Bosch WAX32K41AU/01 and WAX32M41AU/01 washing machines. It's an aftermarket part rather than one supplied by Bosch, built to match the factory pump. Check that the number on your old pump reads 00146156 or 146156.
Signs the drain pump in your Bosch washer has failed
This pump moves water out of the machine and, going by its description, also does circulation work during the wash. When it fails you'll usually see the washer stop mid cycle with water left in the drum, an error on the display, a loud humming or grinding noise, or clothes left soaking because the spin never started. Before replacing it, open the service flap at the bottom front of the machine and clear out the filter. Coins, hair pins and lint caught there cause exactly the same symptoms.

Replacing the pump
Unplug the washer and turn off the taps. Drain the remaining water through the filter flap into a shallow tray. Depending on the model, the pump is reached from the front, the back or underneath. Photograph the plug and hose clamps before removal and fit new clamps if the old ones are weak. Finish with a rinse and spin, with a towel underneath, to check for leaks.
